My First Recipe Cooked from "Weeknights with Giada"

I made my first recipe from my book "Weeknights With Giada", Sweet Corn and Basil Lasagna. The combination of flavors tasted delightful. I love the smell and taste of basil. It is one of my favorite herbs. Cream corn is one of favorite side dishes.

This recipe is pretty simple. The prep work is simple. The food processor does most of the work for you. This dish does not take long to make. It cooks for less than a half-hour.

The end result looked beautiful. It looked creamy and cheesy. My one complaint has nothing to do with the recipe. I used no-boil lasagna noodles. This was the first time I used them. I do not know if it is the type I used or if I did something wrong. They did not taste right at all. They were hard.

I will make this again for sure. The next time I make this dish it will be with regular lasagna noodles. Overall, the first recipe I cooked out of Weeknights With Giada was a success even though the noodles were a bit on the harder side.

Have you ever tried no-boil lasagna noodles? Was it a success?
