My Review of "Weeknights With Giada"

It's finally here! Weeknights With Giada came out this past Tuesday. I dropped my son off at preschool and promptly made my way to Target to purchase my copy. I could not wait. I have never been on pins and needles for a book to be released before. This is not just any book though.

I love Giada's recipes. I love the fact that she has created a cookbook with quick and simple recipes. Giada is embracing her lifestyle change and simplifying her recipes, but keeping the fresh taste and flavor the same. I love that. I love her message to readers encouraging family togetherness and to have fun in the kitchen. It is inspiring.

I am looking forward to cooking her Tomato-Basil Bread Pudding and Sweet Corn and Basil Lasagna. I love tomato basil and I can only imagine how sweet corn and basil taste together. Yum. The pictures in Weeknights With Giada are beautiful. I love the brightness of both her food and family. Giada's daughter, Jade is adorable.

On the Today Show, Giada cooked up her Wagon Wheel Pasta with Pancetta and Peas. It looks delicious and very kid-friendly. I think this recipe is definitely a winner and my little daughter will love to help with and eat it. Peanut Butter Cookies with Blackberry Jam is on the list to make too. I plan to make the entire book, except for fish. (My husband is allergic.)

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Weeknights With Giada delivers fast, fresh, and flavorful recipes that can be prepped and served in under an hour. If you love Giada, you will love this book. I am very happy to have this book and pick recipes out to cook with my daughters. Weeknight With Giada provides exactly what I am look for in the kitchen.
